The bodies PH and breathing

Why should you think about your ph balance.
Well testing strips are simple and easy to use, for one, which gives you good feedback in what you should be doing with yourself and your health.
We all know that we should eat more alkalising foods, fresh uncooked 5 a day foods, should be more, less red meats in our diet. So we know we can make this change by imbibing better foods and water but what you may not know is that your breathing is the biggest culprit for your pH imbalance.
You can change your food and even go without it for a time. You can change the volume of water but have you ever consciously thought about your breathing.

A quantitative appreciation of respiratory regulation requires knowledge of two relationships which provide the connection between alveolar ventilation and pH via pCO2. These 2 relationships are:
First equation - relates alveolar ventilation (VA) and pCO2Second equation - relates pCO2 and pH.

<strong>Breathing</strong>! In a nut shell.

For more information on this go to, http://www.anaesthesiamcq.com/AcidBaseBook/ab2_3.php

This shows that with irregular breathing patterns, which you may have without even knowing, have a direct affect upon your bodies pH balance. The negative affects of this within the body is exhaustive to list but it is not difficult to work it out or even feel it.  And you do not need to be a scientist to understand what's happening on a deeper cellular level.  You may meditate, do diaphragmatic breathing, Train in Tai chi chuan, Qi gong and Yoga.  You may run and do back flips. Seriously you do not have to be ill on the outside,a broken leg, to be unbalanced on the inside.
PH strips guide you and support your efforts. Use 6 strips a day two in the morning, noon and night. 1 for each, urine and saliva and make a note of your findings over a week.  Then you will begin to see your pattern and a plan will emerge, learning by doing, growing by being active. 1 pack has 100 strips you will use 42 in one week so your next test could be a month later or more but not more than three months.
At less then ten pounds a pack you can do your research and assessments whenever you want.  When you notice the changes it will make you reflect on the previous days food and drink.  Do not dwell on the negative points of your diet just move forward with your thinking, look at changing your food and tastes, a little every day goes a long way. If you change 5 things, 1% each = 5% improvement, per week and over one month that's a 20% change, little by little.

So reeducate your breathing first, hydrate second and then eat well. Simples.

Breathing: breathe in filling up and expanding the lower abdomen then the ribs moving on up to the top of the rib cage. Expanding from inside out. You should feel the expansion all around your body, in your back and sides. When you breathe out pay attention to the feeling and movement of your body, take your time and make it  longer and slower. Sensing the movement of the lower ribs then abdomen contract, inflate deflate.
Do two then rest and let your breathing be natural, don't force it just feel it, then repeat another two to five times then settle again. You can do this throughout your day, wherever you are the only this is is to remember to do it, maybe set the time on your phone as a reminder.

Now if you feel the need of a breathing assessment, which uses technology Capnometer Assisted Respiratory Education (CARE) and gives you biofeedback which visually shows you your pCO2 along side with printable charts, which can be shared with your GP.

This technology is not available, yet, on the NHS and most probably not within the next ten years.
